FS5 is the first version of the series to use textures and high resolution (SVGA 640x400). This allowed FS5 to achieve a much higher degree of realism than the previous flat-shaded simulators. FS5.0 simulated only 4 aircrafts as Cessna Skylane RG, Learjet 35A, Sopwith Camel and Schweizer 2-32 Sailplane, but each had its own dashboard. In 1994 released an upgrade to version 5.0a, which fixed several bugs...
